So here I am at almost 1 in the morning CRYING because of fucking VAH MEDOH’S DUNGEON MUSIC

ALL BECAUSE SOMEBODY HAD TO POINT OUT THE FUCKING SOS CALL FROM WITHIN IM-

I CAME HERE TO THINK ABOUT REVALI AND HAVE A GOOD TIME NOT FUCKING THIS

when is it??

Relatively close to the beginning, you’ll hear electronic tones in a pattern of …—… in which the dots are short tones and the dashes are long tones, which is the Morse code for “SOS

O H M Y G O D N O

BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE!

EVERY Divine Beast has the SOS call in their dungeon music. Every. Last. One.

BUT WAIT, THERES STILL MORE!

UNLIKE REVALI’S DIVINE BEAST, THE OTHER CHAMPIONS’ SOS CALL CANE SOONER IN THE MUSIC.

Revali was so proud, so arrogant, so hellbent on being the best, that even his SOS call came LATER than the other Champions. The others knew they weren’t able to handle it on their own, and made the call faster. Revali on the other hand, was so convinced that he could handle it on his own, that his call didn’t come until it was probably already too late.

WHICH LEADS ME TO MY NEXT THEORY

THE PLACEMENT OF WHEN THE SOS CALL COMES IN JUST MIGHT ACTUALLY BE WHEN EACH CHAMPION DIED. This could mean that Revali was actually able to fend off Windblight Ganon LONGER than the other champions were able to fend off their own blight. That maybe Revali’s SOS came later because he survived longer than the rest, presumably Urbosa’s coming in just a bit before his. I haven’t checked the EXACT times on the other divine beasts, but I do know that Revali’s SOS was the latest and last one to play through the dungeon.

ALSO: Even though his was the last to send in the SOS, his is the only one that’s openly PROMINENT. Urbosa, Daruk, and Mipha’s SOS calls within their music are all BACKGROUND TONES that are even slower and more deliberate, which means they werent made in a hurry. Revali’s is VERY prominent in the music, not to mention how RUSHED it is, that rush you can HEAR in the tones. So even though Revali made it longer without needing help, by the time he finally swallowed his pride and actually made the call, it was frantic, panicked, a call only someone who knew they were going to die would make

  11. ro-of-rohan said: I’d also like to add to this that in cannon, the rito have awful night vision, and if we’re to take the blight fights in the champion’s ballad as the exact terrain/time of day etc that the blights were fought with the champions, it not only was dark but it was thunderstorming, so most likely revali couldn’t see much of anything except the glow of the windblight and only flashes of lightning to illuminate his terrain
