what if the first person to discover ice was like

yea but like what if it was discovered by someone putting their water in an environment that is currently 0°C (32°F) and then leaving & coming back in approximately 1-2 hours

shit this got me thinking, what if they call someone because “my water turned solid” and by the time the other person arrives at the location it’s melted back to water and the first person is like “dude i SWEAR it was solid please you have to believe me”

i like how this post implies an alternate universe where phones were invented before ice was discovered
