when ed and al came home and winry froze after hearing al say "stop it den that tickles!" cause she hasn't heard him say something like that in YEARS cause he couldn't feel ANYTHING and she's just so dumbstruck because that must mean he and ed got their bodies back and she cant believe it so she has to physically pause and take all this in before inevitably bursting into tears when she finally sees them and tackling them to the ground to hold them both after all this time... rb if u agree

ugh but like her slow move towards the door like she’s terrified to open it bc it’ll all be a dream, probably like she’s dreamt so many times and then woken up from and cried??? like HELLO hi i am FERAL with this scene it’s just….so emotionally satisfying. it’s a GOOD ENDING. it gives the characters everything they deserve after all they’ve been through and it just radiates with so much LOVE! f*ck! the tackle! hello! the TACKLE! you can feel the emotion so deep and hjfndicn i don’t remember if this was explained in the manga but it makes me laugh a bit that this scene takes place like 2 months after the promised day (i think?) so basically als had his body back for Months but either 1) they haven’t told winry yet bc ed wants to make a dramatic entrance which is like…very ed…. or 2) they told her and she’s expecting them but she STILL can’t believe it. it’s too much. after so much of their teenage years searching and, yes, probably thinking al may never be flesh and blood again, she cannot begin to fathom that he’s got a body again. it’s TOO MUCH guys guys i need a fucking emt here i need cpr!!!!!
