Here is a fun snake fact: there are many different methods of snake locomotion, including serpentine/undulatory locomotion, sidewinding, and caterpillar movement/rectilinear locomotion, but this one is my favorite:
It is called “concertina movement” but I prefer to call it “scrunching.” Many snakes do it when climbing trees.
Here is a fun Mel fact: my mother still calls me “scooch” because this is what I did instead of crawling when I was a baby.
