the stonewall riots are relevant only as far as they inspire us to riot against the ways lgbt people are still persecuted to this day. you cannot settle into the mentality that someone fought so that you wouldn’t have to
tho in a military heavy christian heavy space like the usa, your soldiers fight so you dknt have to, jesus died for your sins so you dont have to, these are things you hear often and everywhere, even if you dont believe in christianity and dont support the military youve heard these sayings, its a mindset.
