What was Hetalia even about?? I never watched it but my friend told me it was about the countries but ppl??? Do u know anything? Bc ppl on here seem to hate it

from what i’ve gathered, hetalia is an anime/manga about humanized countries. which is cool except not because it’s very much based on stereotypes and just….not great. i mean it’s probably okay, to each ones own, but i’m like, an adult, so i try to consume content that actually makes me happy lol

on top of sterotyped personifications of countries they essentially woobiefy the axis powers of WWII by essentially having nazi germany be basically team rocket.
