#the fact that tennant compensates for the sunglasses by pining with his ENTIRE BODY is a lot for me to handle (such-heights)
It is So Hard to emote properly without your eyes being visible. IIRC, that’s why in the Harry Potter movies, the directors opted against giving Voldemort the red snake-like eyes he had in the books, so that Ralph Fiennes wasn’t handicapped. So the fact that Tennant can sell this 100% with his eyes not visible at any point (even when they’re ‘visible’ it’s obviously not his real eyes, so a lot of nuance is lost) is incredibly impressive and continues to remind me of why he’s one of my favorite actors.
