It’s less about the fact they’re taking photos and more about the fact that they’re all doing exactly the same pose, the same subject, the same setting. There’s no variation, no creativity (unless they’re going to heavily doctor it on photoshop like everyone else). Paintings in the past relied on the skill of the artist and could take days or weeks to complete.
