  14. speakeasy-to-me said: Exactly! This goes for kids too. Way too many parents buy kids pets they’ll lose interest in within a week. Especially those ‘easy to care for pets’, there is no such thing. If they can’t care for a goldfish, they have no business getting a betta fish or hermit crab, let alone a dog or cat. Just get them a stuffed animal or buy a virtual pet app.
