ADHD has the tendency to dropkick most things (Including exam answers) into your short term memory, while nondescript things, like how you found a cool leaf on the 12th of September 2004 (because that’s important) get filtered into long term. Short-term memory is held for as little as 20 seconds to a minute. That means when you add in the processing gap, you may have forgotten what they have said by the time the information is done processing. So most people with ADHD have some form of short term memory problems.
TL;DR if you have a mixture of anxiety/depression and ADHD (as they tend to be linked) your memory is fucked!!
