Apparently series creator Jhonen Vasquez changed Gaz’s design in the comics because fans assumed from her black dress that she was goth, which he didn’t have in mind when creating her. She wears a blue shirt with a pixelated bunny skull on it now because gamer and that’s the design they used for the movie.
