does anyone else feel like steven’s whole longstanding issue of having to deal with the horrible reprocussions of his mother’s actions is hitting a little too close to the universal feeling of younger generations getting saddled with a shit-ton of really complex and damaging systems/problems by the generation(s) before us while simultaneously being held responsible for the fact that they exist
