9/11 went from edgy humor to ironic humor in like 2 years once we collectively woke up to how nationalistic of a day it has become and how little the ~3,000 death toll was to the hundreds of thousands of deaths of innocent muslims for the next 18 years following it
like yeah it was tragic but. we have more pressing matters right now. there is domestic terrorism now in our country every single day with mass shootings and whatnot
not only that but the oldest people who werent born when 9/11 happened or were too young to remember are 18-19 now
its just like...national day of islamophobia at this point
no wonder we dont take it seriously anymore.
i literally forgot the other day was 9/11
