imagine if whenever squidward was rude to spongebob the fans would complain about how the writers totally don’t understand the intricacies of squidward’s character or his complicated relationship with spongebob and they were like “whoever wrote this episode clearly never watched s1e5a ‘pizza delivery’” that’s what being a comics fan is like
@scraps-is-busy and @silver-tongues-blog have literally seen me say something similar about modern Spongebob’s way of portraying Squidward and Spongebob’s dynamic asgsfshsfsda
