I can now post my final piece for the aspect zine!
I’m really proud of the symbolism in it, playing with the symbol of blood and conveying with it both a link to Sufferer’s eyes (implying his Seer abilities, as well as in the form of tears to represent his grief for everything) and transforming through the blood symbol into a crown represnting Karkat’s leadership position and abilities (Even if Karkats never been the type of leader he considered.) The spikiness of the crown is also to make it feel a bit like a crown of thorns, to echo all the Jesus theming tied with the vantases.
Because Karkat’s strength involves bringing together hsi friends to work as one, having them standing behind them was important to me and to the design as well!
