How the fuck are actors supposed to give a good performance with this kind of direction

peteseeger

Tom Holland is a fucking incredible actor to have given the performance he did in Infinity War whole having to deal with this shit

austerejester

I mean he absolutely is that’s very hard to act against and he is amazing for doing it, but to be fair, would YOU tell Tom Holland a spoiler from a movie you’re shooting?

toastpotent

yes, because he is an actor, and that is how acting works

life-needs-abit-of-madness

But it’s also Tom Holland, known for leaking spoilers

toastpotent

tom holland is also an actor, and that is how acting works

if your movie is ruined by a twist being spoiled it’s not a good movie. you can enjoy a movie even if you know what’s going to happen; there’s cinematography, effects, performances, jokes and music all to enjoy.

valuing the movie not being spoiled over having the best performance you can just shows you view it as a product :/

Like if you can’t even tell him who he’s fighting then???

The premise of “nobody’s going to see this movie if they get spoiled for 1 thing” falls apart when you remember that making movies from books is a thing that’s been going on successfully for quite some time now and that the fans of the books are usually first in line to buy their tickets, since you see a movie because you want to see HOW a plot point was portrayed, and if your only selling point is the plot point in itself then why would I pay close to $20 for a movie ticket when i can get the same bland experience reading a synopsis?
