fun elder scrolls facts: the reason there’s no children NPCs in oblivion is because if the npc scale is set to child-size they drown themselves if they path through water to fight a mudcrab as oblivion NPCs love to do

On one hand it is difficult to raise a family when 99% of children die in mudcrab-related incidents, but on the other hand every person who survives to adulthood is an excellent swimmer and can rip a mudcrap apart with their bare hands.

do you think the fact that all the adults are adept at mudcrab fighting might be the reason children die fighting mudcrabs? like they wanna do what all the grown ups do so they go out and try and die
