I think a lot of the subs-versus-dubs debate comes down to whether you grew up back in the day when anime dubs would routinely rewrite the whole story and completely change all the characters’ relationships, motivations, and occasionally genders for no obvious reason.

Is this about turning the lesbian couple in sailor moon into cousins in the dub?
