Like remember when the military literally just landed helicopters on top of the ruins of babylon without giving a single shit about the cultural heritage about not just Iraq, but the world.

And this was done without actually targeting the site with weapons. 

goddamn i hadn’t even heard of this until literally right now. how fucked do you have to be to intentionally cause damage to archaeology from the literal cradle of civilization
