Pressing the crosswalk button when there are already people standing there is like publicly announcing that you don’t trust any of them

To be fair, in my high school I would regularly see my classmates standing outside a room waiting for the teacher and when I checked the door, turns out it was unlocked the entire time and the prompted scenario is just a way that skill translates into adulthood
