it was absolutly amazing, it had a solid plot and it was animated just by fans and the fact that fans made that makes me even more proud to be part of this amazing fandom.

It’s because of this. Even though the animation was amazing, It DIDN’T have much of a plot, much less “A solid” one. It was just fanservice, made by the fans. It had a crappy deus ex machina moment that ruined it. The entire thing was looks over story.
