If you think about it, these two could be related.
Korra’s paternal grandfather was the Northern Water Tribe’s Chief until her uncle, Unalaq, succeeded the position. So we can assume that NWT’s leadership is hereditary.
Arnook (chief from ATLA) didn’t seem to have any other children besides Yue, so this theory hinges on the possibility that Arnook was succeeded by his blood relative.
