don’t just keep saying “oh it’s transformative” “oh it’s community led” stop being so vague or we know you’re just gonna have Cops II
This is why the protests need to continue until a workable solution is in place, in such a way that we know it won’t be changed or taken away the moment we turn our backs
In Seattle we fought like dogs for progressive taxes and raising the minimum wage. Once the city caved, we stopped. At which point the city promptly went right back on most of what had been won.
This is universally regarded as Not A Good Move.
