Silver Tongue

Roses are red

Violets are blue

“but violet is purple”

well let me tell you

Violet historically

used to be blue

then it shifted to purple

and you never knew

and theres not just red roses

theres white, orange and pink

theres a lot more nuance

to the world if you think

so a rose can be red

and violets ARE blue

thanks for coming to my ted talks

goodnight and fuck you

To call something blue when it’s not, we defile it But ah, what the heck. It’s hard to rhyme “violet”~
