“There’s a storm coming,” the villain growled, pointing a finger at the hero. “And you better be ready for it.”

The hero frowned. “I thought the weather forecast said it was supposed to be sunny today.”

“No, what I meant was-”

The hero pulled out their phone. “Maybe I was mistaken. Let me just check real quick…”

“No!” The villain clenched their fist, shook it at the hero, and tried again. “I’ll see you swimming with the fishes before next full moon!”

The hero furrowed their brow. “You’re going…to take me to the beach?”

“Yes,” the villain said, rolling with it, “with a brand new pair of concrete shoes!”

“That hardly seems practical,” the hero said. “I already have new shoes on.” They kicked out their heel so the villain could see that their boots didn’t even have scuff marks yet. “See?”

The villain bit back a scream of frustration.
