i think the fact people on twitter are furiously reviving this discourse in complete absence of any depraved, slutty gay pride parade actually happening at all makes me realize the entire thing is basically carried singlehandedly by people who never go to pride anyway. the complete cancellation of all pride parades due to coronavirus lockdown didn't change these people's relation to pride at all because they weren't going anyway, so they can still treat it like it's exactly like june 2019: complain about pride online a lot while not attending it, feed yourself outrage based on some pics you saw online from some indeterminate year or city.
