I really didn’t like Little Witch Academia at first. In the first ep, I thought Akko came off as bratty, self centered, and annoyingly optimistic. Luckily, I decided to watch the second episode anyways, and holy shit? It made me take another look at Akko’s character and realize that she isn’t optimistic at all. When something doesn’t works or she’s in a bad situation, she doesn’t try to see the silver lining or make the best out of it, she gets frustrated or angry or sad. What she is, however, is a very determined dumbass.

A optimist would have seen the whole broom relay situation, and thought “I can’t ride a broom, but maybe if I do this different or really persevere, I can do it!” The story would’ve gone that the optimist really tried and thats why they could ride a broom, and even if they didn’t win, the real win was the friends we made along the way!!

Akko said “fuck you im gonna win” and then proceeded to wrangle a notoriously dangerous broom, ddie, she died oh my fucking god she died holy shit
