People saying “oh the covid cases are only increasing because they’re doing more tests”
Except I found this today:
“In One Month, Oregon Sees a Fivefold Increase in Weekly COVID-19 Cases The percentage of cases coming back positive is 5.3% in the last 7 days, up from 2% a month ago.”
They’re not counting by number of results, they’re counting by percentage of results, it doesn’t matter if they’re doing more tests or not, the percentage is what matters here. Doing more or less tests won’t really change that percentage.

techdrag0n said: Even if it was a direct result due to increased testing that still means there are lots of unindentified carriers out there spreading the disease. Claiming increased testing/results is not a bad sign is like saying if there weren’t so many fire departments there would be fewer fires.

No, its increasing cause people wanted toilet paper. I work in retail and when people found out they didn’t need a hundred rolls, we had to change our refund policy so people didn’t just bring back all the toilet paper and we didn’t just throw away toilet paper theskyrabbit liked this
