 ford’s already back. steven is for whatever reason a guest at the mystery shack for AU reasons, whatever those are. steven accidentally does his weird dreamscape stuff one night and falls into ford’s dreams, which makes ford very paranoid suddenly, because the last being he met that had this ability was bill, and it carries all sorts of awful connotations for him, even IF steven means no harm with it and in fact didn’t purposefully mean to do it
