At that annoying artistic level where all I’m seeing is flaws and mistakes and nothing looks good enough >_< I still don’t feel professional levels of good yet.

I find what helps me is that even though it’s comparatively not really as fun as drawing the easy fun stuff (I pretty naturally like drawing character busts in ¾ as a crutch), that when I’m in that sort of in between, I force myself to draw something way out of my comfort zone. It actively helps my skill a lot, and also if I don’t like how it looks that’s because I’m not experienced with it!
