I’ve made this post like six times but it still fucks me up the China’s mountains just look like that. Like I spent decades thinking it was stylistic but no, they just have different mountains over there.

that’s weathering bro. in this specific instance, ice did that. ice and plants. they broke up the earth, which crumbled into gravel and sand and was carried away by streams until just the strongest columns of rock remained of the original landscape
