Some applications-

  • makeshift extendable balance beam
  • adjustable-length saw
  • long-range button pusher
  • collapsable measuring stick
  • Probably some combat application to a scabbard that’ll increase the length of the blade instead of just sliding off when you swing the sword overhead

There must be more, right?
