It is genuinely very jarring to see the Wardens in canon material outside of Origins and be reminded that they’re like, an actual military organization with an actual leadership and actual political pull and not just Alistair & the HOF doing… whatever it was they were doing.
Maric & Loghain in the beginning of The Calling: *extremely openly freaked out and intimidated by the warden’s presence in Ferelden*
Me, still picturing the grey wardens as two emotionally unstable millennials fumbling about in the woods trying not to get eaten by darkspawn: w- what?
