• “It stops tyranny of the majority!!” - first, what does that even mean, second, this is a DEMOCRACY and in a DEMOCRACY the majority should rule (**remeber that when the Founders said tyranny of the majority, there were a small wealthy elite calss versus literally all of the rest of America)
• “but without the EC, candidates would ignore rural areas!” - they already do that
  
• “they’ll only focus on big cities/states to get votes!” - they already do that and also why do you think Swing States are a thing? Because the EC locks literally every other state regardless of what the actual proportion of voters in them is
  
• “(some other argument saying Candidates otherwise will ignore everyone else)” - They Already Do That
  
• “It’s the only way every state gets a fair say!” - The EC is based off of the number of house and senate seats a state has. it’s like 98% affected by population That’s Not A Fair Say. it’s literally just a math thing
• “the electoral will always vote with a state” - there’s literally a supreme court case (Chifalo v Washington) about 3 electoral college voters Not Doing That
  
• “Most people want it though” - most people do not want it
  
• like literally if the president is meant to be a leader of the people why can’t the people actually choose
