Alright fellow Americans, listen up.
It’s great that Biden is leading in the polls. Cool. That’s very encouraging.
Don’t let it make you complacent in your civic duty to vote.
I remember the day in political psychology that I learned this: if people see that the candidate they like is leading in the polls, they’re less likely to go vote. Because they think they don’t have to. Because they think “oh they’re gonna win” and don’t bother.
DO. NOT. DO. THIS.
Ignore the polls. Don’t even pay attention. Whoever you want to win, whoever you want to vote for - Just. Go. Vote. Because if you don’t, those polls are literally meaningless.
Those polls are based on the likelihood that you will vote for your preferred candidate. If you don’t go vote, the polls are moot.
Don’t let the polls make you complacent. It doesn’t matter if Biden is in the lead. It wouldn’t matter if Trump was in the lead. It all comes down to how you vote between now and November 3rd.
The. Polls. Mean. Nothing. If. You. Do. Not. Vote.
Don’t listen to anyone else. The polls now are encouraging, but they aren’t a confirmation of how this election will end. We saw that in 2016.
Just vote.
For the love of God, please go vote.
