It’s noted that a large amount of trans feminine individuals are programmers, game designers or otherwise work in the IT industry.

This sounds strange until you realize that “nerds” often end up in that industry due to their typical isolation from others, and the above average skill with computers that isolation tends to foster. And one easy way to become a nerd is to fail at social interaction in your developmental years… perhaps because you cannot fully express yourself due to unresolved gender identity issues. This is obviously generalizing a lot but it does push the odds toward more trans people being in IT.

Furthermore, IT happens to be a male-dominated field, so when eggs start cracking in that area, you’ll see far more trans women than trans men.
