Any Republicans backpedaling now have shown us exactly who they are. They will happily embrace white supremacists, incite violence, and attempt to overthrow democracy right up until it threatens them and makes them hide under their desk, and then suddenly it’s bad. They set the place on fire and now they’re standing in the smoldering remains and talking about rebuilding as though they have any right to be a part of that conversation or to even show their faces in public ever again.
