in just the greater houston/galveston area, ERCOTS mismanagement has caused:

galveston to plead for refrigerated trucks to handle the influx of bodies from the cold weather (90% of galveston is/was without power)

has managed to “negotiate” raising the price cap due to the weather and demand for power (which will be a permanent price raise to continue out of this which is just a fucking slap to the face) ….. despite them being at fault for not winterizing grids causing this demand they had a weeks notice to do something about knowing this weather was coming

so in essence they are making a profit out of this whole event they caused! 

they also initiated rolling black outs they knew they did not have the power to do, so rolling blackouts turned into permanent ones! Taking houses that did have power off the grid on purpose and making it worse!

my power is back, but who knows for how long? absolute mystery, at the mercy of our ERCOT overlords - WHO DON’T EVEN LIVE IN TEXAS

anyways we’re already getting comparisons to california for ERCOTS shenanigans 

we’re expecting freezing rain today, so those who have power (like me again, but who knows for how long given “rolling blackouts”) might lose power due to ice actually snapping power lines and damaging poles so that’s cool 

and while i want pressure to be applied to ERCOT, have sustained outrage from other cities/states on ERCOT until texas is back up and can be livid at them proper:
