Allow me to explain:

Some will point out that the new Ms. Frizzle is canonically the old one’s younger sister, and that the old one still shows up in the new show:

they are missing the point. They are missing the point because the original is still modified, and is a minor character in the series whose role has been given over to someone who looks more like if Ariel from the Little Mermaid wanted to speak to the manager. And they are missing the point because all the characters have been given this treatment, and it gets a lot worse.
