Fantasy story about a warrior who has been cursed by so many different supernatural creatures, wizards, etc that all if the curses counteract each other.
At this point he's spent so long carrying a thousand curses that he's actually learned how to manipulate the curses to uses for his benefit.
He used to be a raging asshole but after getting so many curses he's mellowed and is more like a lightly ironic optimist who takes every possible opportunity to drag any magical creature relentlessly.
Alternatively play a warlock who has no patron, just a shit load of curses like this.
Also. No impulse control whatsoever.
They try to use only cursed objects as clothes, weapons, jewelry, etc. They have about forty grimdark prophecies of a terrible fate which go unfulfilled just hanging over them. Like the whole world wants this to be a tragic cursed figure destroyed by hubris but it tried too hard and now there's just some random, genial person soaked to the gills in dire potential.
There needs to be at least one arc - probably in the earlier angry-asshole era - that involves him desperately trying to get cursed in a way that will clash with the doom that’s due in like three days.
I'd use this to develop a redemption arc by having someone he likes get caught up in a curse, and over the course of resolving it he realizes his hundreds of curses let him help other people and also he learns to be less of a douche for the sake of people he cares about.
So far the "this is like X" replies on this are not correct.
this is like that girl in the yugioh cards who refused to stop messing around with forbidden cursed artifacts
she eventually got condemned
and became a witch
