I grew up entirely removed from any and all religious influences so the concept of a god or a devil or heaven or hell are so new and abstract to me that I can't remotely wrap my head around what it's like to genuinely believe in such things, it's so far fetched to me that my brain categorized it to the same level of believability as fairy tales, so to see people react with such serious shock and indignation is just mind boggling to me
