Silver Tongue

homunculus-argument:

A detective story where a comically serious but highly moral and lovably faintly quirky genius detective is tracking down the evidently most deranged and unhinged group of serial killers the county has seen in over a 100 years. Eventually they find the criminals, who turn out to be your basic DnD party. None of them are individually chaotic neutral, but as a median, “chaotic” and “neutral” are the most common ones among them.

And when caught they’re like “we don’t mean to start killing people, things just always go south and it seems like the only reasonable way to get out of it. None of us set afoot on this path with the intention of wanton violence and killing.”

“I did!” one of them chimes in on the background.

“Shut up, Gregory, I’m trying to talk us out of this.”
