I dont know why people bring this up as some kind of gotcha when
- that’s wrong, only about half the land in the Netherlands is below sea level, and it doesn’t include where I live
- Dutch flood control is famously the best in the world
- because of that, there haven’t been any floods in the Netherlands in almost 70 years
