This is presented as a feel good story.

As someone who’s worked multiple jobs at once for over 10 years and still struggles to support myself… this is not a feel good story. I nearly worked myself to death (not an exaggeration). I missed out on a lot of childhood experiences and opportunities that many of my peers had. I’ve struggled to maintain close personal relationships because my entire life has been focused on how to make sure I have enough money to survive.

I’m slowly trying to reconfigure my view of work, money, my worth, and what’s truly important to me.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that working every day during my teenage years and having nothing to show for it is absolutely not important and was not worth all the pain and missed love.
