When you go to the dr and the dr brings in three student drs acting like you are some freak of nature and they all pick at you like an experiment and look at you like some weird lab rat and ignore the problems but want to ask stupid questions about the drugs they gave you because they know they have been paid to put you on it to see what it’s doing because no one knows really what the fuck they are doing so you and everyone else is a fucking experiment and you know he said some weird ass shit about covid and I’m not going to say shit on here because everyone will go in a mass panic. Right. There is no purpose.
I'm so sorry that happened to you.
Speaking as a freak of nature who's been getting this treatment from birth: you don't have to put up with this. You can tell the doctor and trainees you didn't consent to this, and that you'd like all the extraneous people to leave.
If you're feeling sassy, you can even co-opt the teachable moment. Looking past the senior doctor, explain to the trainees that springing extra people on a patient is a violation of privacy, apt to make the patient clam up and give a less than accurate report of their condition. Note that the prejudicial effects can be mitigated by asking the patient's permission to introduce trainees before inviting them into the room. Mention that informed consent is central to doctor/patient interaction, and has been since the truth about Tuskegee came out.
You can roast your doctor alive in his own clinic without so much as a harsh word, and the trainees will learn to be better than that.
