just say you were never taught to respect trans men and go

by the way, humanity can just refer to someone’s humanity. That they’re human. That they feel and comprehend the world with a human philosophy.

But that would require you to see trans men as part of humanity…

making fun of a trans guy’s first few haircuts is so incredibly cruel and people have been doing it to him for nearly a full year now, since the day he came out. no matter what he does with it, it feels almost memetic.

it’s not funny, it’s not big, it’s not important. it’s like making fun of someone’s smile or their laugh: cutting your hair short is so symbolic for so many trans guys, a moment of real joy. it’s like seeing yourself for the first time.

so i would appreciate it if people took care to ensure that basically telling a trans person they’re not presenting as their gender in the “best” or “most attractive” way or how you think they “should” does not become a meme.

Also, another key point: Media or any documentary about trans men is practically non-existent.

It is a huge thing that this is even being made.
