i had a dnd one shot where a guy hired some adventurers to retrieve his daughter back from a dragon. the twist was that it was a very messy divorce and the dragon won custody so the dragon had them write up a written statement explaining that they were hired by him to kidnap the child and the guy who initially hired them was arrested.
