I still don’t get what celeste was about ngl

Badeline represents…. I dunno… anger? She has to accept that she has anger? Is that what it’s about?

I didn’t relate to it

How does hugging my evil twin and climbing a mountain with her tell me how to have less anxiety

Because it made her more confident in herself, beating a mountain is a pretty big accomplishment and a great booster of self-esteem

I guess I can see that? Doesn’t the whole game say that climbing the mountain doesn’t actually mean or do anything, though

i thought it was about gender dysphoria and trans realization.

  3. ectoglasses said: according to the dev, its about being trans, but she didn’t know that at the time of making it bc she didn’t know she was trans yet
  4. bullet-soup said: I stick by the trans reading, primarily because of the inscription on the monument saying that it’s “for those who died on the climb” and badeline serves as a personification of self-defeating anxieties and dysphoria. The feelings never really go away, but knowing what they mean and what you can do about them along the journey that is self-discovery means that you don’t have to be afraid of them.
