its funny when edgy dudes are like “humans are unnatural. we are the only species that will consume so many resources that the land can not sustain us and still continue to reproduce. name one other species that does that” because like, off the top of my head? deer. 

We’re omnivorous deer

The real difference between humans and deer is the wolves can’t stop us.

What wolves?

A healthy wolf population prevents the deer in the region from getting overpopulated, which leads to more trees and beavers and basically the whole rest of the ecosystem balancing out better. A lack of wolves leads to too many deer which kills too many trees and everything starts to collapse (including the deer themselves).

Humans got too good at killing any predators who would be going after humans, so now there’s nothing to regulate us except for us.

boars. jellyfish - there is also a lot of plants that will just continuously grow and consume everything if left unchecked…

I mean, Invasive Species? That’s like the entire deal with them. Just look at what rabbits, cute cuddly little bunnies, have done to Australia.

pretty much all species will devistate an ecosystem if they overpopulate regardless of theyre native to that system or not.
