i was thinking that cyclists in the netherlands must be going super slow because even without traffic i’ve been in some nasty accidents on bikes and then i remembered you don’t have hills
We also have, y'know, decent traffic laws, city plans that make things accessible without necessitating cars, infrastructure that promotes safety, and a different cultural mindset
my car got totaled when someone ran a red light and T-boned me. due to insurance bullshit i got jack shit
